Week Eight – Do His Will
’My food,’ said Jesus, ‘is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.’ - John 4:34
In our human nature even followers of Jesus-Christ tend to do things in order to satisfy our own ego. Every day, we eloquently recite the prayer Jesus taught His disciples, especially ‘May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven’. However, we fail so many times to apply it and live accordingly. As followers of Jesus-Christ, we must continue to grow to a point where we’re consumed by the desire to do His will, as He will provide the supernatural strength to do just that. In other words, doing the will of Him who reconciled us with our heavenly Father through his blood and sent us into the world must become our daily meal. Is that true for you?
Questions to discuss
Do you have a hunger to do the will of the Lord? Does Haiti have a spiritual hunger that can only be satisfied by doing God’s will? If not, how can this hunger increase?
Pray that individuals, ministers, leaders, and the nation would develop a deep hunger to do the will of the Father so that Haiti can taste and see that the Lord is good.
